The challenge

When Diamond Kinetics pioneered its playful spin on metric-tracking in baseball and softball, they also offered a way for young players to get better and have fun doing it: a digital platform with virtual games and interactive sessions that updated weekly. But the company needed to revamp its in-app experience with a lively look and feel that would speak to its target audience: the next generation of players.

The solution

We spent six months designing and fine-tuning a fleet of customizable 3D avatars that expanded the brand's reach and advanced its vision forward - toward a future that fused fun and performance for children of all ages. Additionally, our comms experts supported and nurtured the brand's relationships with key partners and media outlets, getting the word out about DK products and future ventures.

Robin's dedicated design crew puts in the work. Their proposed roster of custom, game-like avatars now serves as the faces of our app's users, bridging the fun of sports they love with the game they can't put down.


Our disruptive approach to refining the aesthetic of the Diamond Kinetics app reinvigorated it for a new customer base. Our PR team also earned the company coverage in Sports Business Journal - and local publications like Pittsburgh Inno and CityBiz - about DK's partnership with MLB Players Inc., as well as the CATX Smart, a swing-tracking bat made in collaboration with Marucci.
