The challenge

Sugarloaf Social Club had built a loyal following among golf's most discerning sickos, but their Squarespace site couldn't keep pace with their ambitions. They needed a platform that could handle complex inventory management, provide sophisticated analytics, integrate with modern sales channels, and deliver the premium experience their customers expected. As the newest member of the Pro Shop family, there was an opportunity to reimagine their digital presence while maintaining operational flexibility across a growing family of brands.


The solution

We designed and architected a headless Shopify solution that separated commerce operations from the frontend experience — giving Pro Shop the best of both worlds. Our custom Next.js storefront delivered lightning-fast performance while the Shopify backend handled the heavy lifting of inventory, fulfillment, and multi-channel sales. We developed Instagram Stories-style product browsing for mobile, created dynamic content blocks that could be positioned throughout category pages, and built a sophisticated template system that allowed the Sugarloaf team to craft custom landing pages on the fly. The platform launched with deep GA integrations, Klaviyo email capture flows, and a staging environment that let the team preview everything before going live. In true agile fashion, we maintained weekly syncs across two-week sprint cycles, allowing us to respond quickly to emerging needs while keeping the site stable during high-traffic drops.
